Mr. Poonawala was in Mumbai. As soon as he heard the news, the loving service rendered by Ganga Datt welled up in his heart which prompted him to cancel all his meetings, then requested the driver's family to wait for him to return for the cremation. He then immediately flew back to Pune. On reaching Pune, he had his car decorated with flowers as he wanted the body of Ganga Datt to be taken in the same car which he himself had driven since the beginning. Mr. Poonawala himself drove the car with the driver’s body in it from his home up to the cremation ground.

D. M. Mohite, a journalist, visited the famous Tadoba sanctuary in 1970 and was amazed by the way this forest was being nurtured and protected. He then remembered how an entire forest in his native village of Devrashtra in Sangli was destroyed by deforestation and uncontrolled grazing of cattle. He returned to his village and with the help of villagers and officials converted the dry hill slope of his village into the Sagareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary – the only man-made sanctuary in India where all wild life species were artificially introduced.

Who would believe that a girl who was thrown out of a moving train in 2011 by thugs for refusing to hand over her ornaments would be able to lead a normal life? Arunima Sinha’s legs were run over by a train coming from the opposite direction. Her one leg was amputated and the other leg had a rod inserted. She also had an injury in the spine. Within two years after this tragic incident, she did achieve something that many with all limbs and perfect spine can't even dream of. In 2013 she climbed the Mount Everest, becoming the world’s first female amputee, and the first Indian amputee, to achieve this feat.

The eccentric British mathematician GH Hardy is known for his achievements in number theory and mathematical analysis. Perhaps he is better known as the mentor of the famous Indian mathematical genius, Srinivasa Ramanujan. Hardy was the only one to recognize Ramanujan's genius, and brought him to Cambridge University, and was his mentor for many years. Once, Hardy arrived at Ramanujan's house in a cab numbered 1729, a number he claimed as uninteresting. Hearing this, Ramanujan brought out an interesting characteristic of the number that 1729 being the smallest number representable in two different ways as a sum of two cubes. Such numbers are now sometimes referred to as 'taxicab numbers'.
